The actual profile of the plasma electron density is of great interest in studying plasma properties. In this respect, LEMMA’s researchers offered their expertise in this field by developing an innovative tool for 1-D plasma inverse profiling [1] by exploiting Born and Rytov approximations to linearize the inverse scattering problem at hand, and the Compressive Sensing tool to counteract the ill-posedness of the problem itself and improve images resolution at the same time.
