A great interest is devoted from LEMMA’s researchers to the topic of focusing and shaping the electromagnetic field in unknown scenarios because of its involvement in applications of actual interest such as hyperthermia, but also because of the possibility of properly conditioning the inverse scattering problem. In fact, [1] and [2] propose novel approaches to focusing in unknown scenarios which are among the cornerstones of the ‘virtual experiments’ framework. On the contrary, in [3] a qualitative imaging tool is used to support a blind field intensity shaping.
